Anapana in Sri Lanka means awareness of breath. This is the basis of Buddhist meditation, and Yoga, and Tai Ch’i and probably everything else that is good for us, because as I explain on the CD it connects us to ourselves right Now, without any external need. The result is most often peace of mind, contentment, and joy.

About Andy Kidd
Andy was educated in Social Anthropology, and has always nourished a keen interest in travelling, and diverse studies. He is a fond practitioner of yoga, which has led him to practice meditation. It turns out to be more challenging at first, and more interesting, to just sit still and be with oneself rather than to follow the paths of activity! So he now teaches basic awareness practice as a direct route to realising our natural goodness and effortless contentment. It appeals to him because of its simplicity and accessibility to everyone. This style of meditation is grounded in the teachings of the Buddha, and the philosophies of Taoism and Vedanta.

In addition to this work, Andy is a consultant for environmental sustainability, a civil marriage celebrant and a Zero Balancer (bodyworker). Andy lives in Australia with his wife and two children.

His wish for all who use this practice is that it helps many more people to have unconditional love affairs with themselves!
